CUT to YOU | Oh So Many Gifts 🎁🎁

Image
Hey Everyone! Only 6 days until Christmas! There is so much happening here…we are extremely busy in our business and this week for us is a little stressful. I really wish I was in the craft room instead…. but I need to make money for my crafty addictions – LOL! Today I have created another Christmas layout. I have used another of the cut files from the  25 Days of Christmas Advent Calendar.   It is called  Oh So Many Gifts.  As soon as I saw this cut file I knew exactly which photos I needed to document using it as a background. These photos are from my son’s very first Christmas Day. He was nearly 11 months old and the joy on his face was priceless. This is exactly what Christmas is all about!! Now I don’t know if you have seen Gwen’s little Christmas series over on YouTube. I did speak about it last post. But if you haven’t…lots of great ideas and inspiration. You must check it out!! Again, I was a little inspired by the using up of ugly papers but more so those papers that have been

CUT to YOU | Beach Days 🏝️

Image
"CUT TO YOU | BEACH DAYS | MEL FIELD" Hey there everyone! Well, do I have some super inspiration for you today, all thanks to a whoopsie whilst cutting my cut file! For some reason, no idea why, my Silhouette chose to not cut this cut file correctly the first time. I was so disappointed but as it turns out…. all’s well that ends well. For this project, I have used the really cool title cut file from CUT to YOU called  “Beach Days”   It is the perfect cut file for those beach layouts but also those layouts that you have limited embellishments to use. I have used an old Kaisercraft collection, Sandy Toes, from my stash for this layout, I have limited supplies of it left but with this cut file, it really didn’t matter. I have backed the cut file simply with some of the patterned papers from the collection. I have used three photos on the front of this layout, which I have also backed with the patterned papers and made two of them into a flip-out to include two more photos. So a

CUT to YOU | Sunshine On My Mind | Mel Fiel

"CUT TO YOU | SUNSHINE ON MY MIND | MEL FIELD" Hey there everyone! Can you believe that we are halfway through November? Where has the year gone? I am so excited to share with you my projects this month. Given that here in Australia we are not far from Summer I thought I would create some fun Summer projects. Today I am sharing ‘Sunshine On My Mind.’ How cool is this cut file? Sunshine On My Mind Two in one. There are so many ways to use this cut file…I have decided to edit it a little on my Silhouette and cut the title section of the cut file smaller than the sun to suit my layout. It is so easy to do this once you have the cut file in your cutting machine’s software program. Have you ever tried? Being able to do this with cut files makes it so easy to adapt to each layout and make your creations different. It also makes each and every cut file versatile. I have backed the sun and title with gorgeous papers from the Pink Fresh collection of the same name ‘Sunshine On My Mi

CUT to YOU | Mr & Mrs

Today I am here to share with you my next project. I actually have two layouts using this gorgeous cut file because I wasn’t particularly happy with the first I created. I will share with you the layout that I was happy with and then at the end of this post I will share a couple photos of the one I wasn’t happy with. Let me know what you think? As I said in my previous post, I have completed a few more layouts using our wedding photos this month. The photo quality is varied (it was 25 years ago!!!!) and this one is no exception not to mention the colour of the chair in the background!!! I decided to combat this I would just use black, white and grey for this layout. Keeping it very simple, colourwise! I have used the  Rosey Posey Polaroid   cut file as the main focus for this layout. This is such a pretty cut file. I decided not to back it but to make the flower into a shaker-style box using some rose gold, white, and silver sequins. So pretty… By doing this I was attempting to embrace
