Mel's Me Time

Hey there Everyone! It is Mel here to share with you today my latest project for the CUT to YOU Design Team. I decided that given it was May (and it was Mother’s Day last week) I would dedicate my project and post to an inspirational woman in my life, my Godmother. Have you got someone that you could dedicate a post or project to this month as well? I have used the absolutely stunning  Floral Garland 02  cut file from CUT to YOU. This cut file comes as part of a KIT to YOU file. Now I don’t know about you, but when I first started using cut files I LOVED this option for all of the extra tips and ideas you get as part of the kit. It is also awesome for those days when the old mojo is not performing quite so well.  I really wanted to highlight all of the gold tones in this photo. So keeping to my love of mixed media I used my brayer to add some Tim Holtz Distress Spray Stain in Tarnished Brass and black gesso in the background. Hey there Everyone! I am so very excited to be here with you today sharing my very first project for the CUT to YOU Design Team and my first project for the month of May. My project has gone live today and I am very excited...and very nervous too! For those of you that have never heard of CUT to YOU before....Gwen Wruck is the owner of the Australian digital cut file company, CUT to YOU. Gwen designs, creates and sells gorgeous cut files for a variety of different creative purposes including scrapbooking layouts, Travellers Notebooks and art journals. I hope that you will enjoy checking out what I create and that it inspires you to create your own projects using CUT to YOU cut files. Tomorrow is a very special day here in Australia, Mother’s Day!  Happy International Scrapbooking Day! A day to celebrate all that we love about our craft. Today I have a layout share and some deets about the iNSD Challenge and Sale over at   CUT to YOU. Grab a cuppa and keep on scrolling 😀 I know I LOVE getting time in my craft room. It is my way to get away from the world around me and all that is happening. With life being so busy, it doesn't happen anywhere near as much as I would like BUT I am very grateful for the time I do get. The new CUT to YOU Design Team has been busy preparing for iNSD. Gwen set us a challenge to scrap lift another Design Team member's layout. Gwen partnered us up and sent us on our merry way. I was absolutely SO excited to be partnered with Melinda Sweetman. But OMG...I was so nervous and so overwhelmed. I have for a long time been a subscriber of Melinda's YT channel and have followed her on all the socials.
