Sketches in Thyme #122

It is very exciting that Sketches in Thyme is up and running again. After it finishing up last year I noticed that completed layouts of my son, especially when he was a baby, had diminished.
So my task of using the sketches from the Sketches in Thyme blog to complete only photos of my son has just started again. Yay!

Here is Sketch #122

As we are currently on our Summer holiday by the beach in our caravan I had to be clever with what I would take to scrapbook. I couldn't (unfortunately) take my whole collection. Actually, it would be great to have my own caravan for scrapbooking (shhh! Don't tell my hubby! :)).
Anyway, I thought Santa photos would be the easiest.

Here is my take on Sketch #122.

I have used the Simple Stories ~ Handmade Holiday Collection. Simple Stories would have to be one of my most favourite paper companies.
All of the embellishments and tags are cut from the papers so there was no need to bring along a heap of embellishments.

I have used Tim Holtz Distress Ink ~ Walnut Stain and have distressed the edges of the papers.

I loved the Kaisercraft Timeless - Scrabble Sticker Sheet for the letters of my sons name on Santa's list as one thing he asked for was Scrabble!

I held on to this years Santa list which I have incorporated into this layout. I used a teabag to change the colour of the paper and have made it into a little tag that hides behind the photo. I loved using this as it is in my sons handwriting and it will be a keepsake forever!

I love how the title fits Santa's Naughty or Nice list but also my son making his Santa list and checking it twice....actually I believe he probably checked it 50 times and was always adding to it!!!!

Here is the back of the Santa List tag.

If you would like to join in the Sketches in Thyme sketch challenge head on over to the blog by clicking here and checking out the fantastic layouts the girls have created. All of the rules and how to's are available there!

Look forward to seeing your entry there.
