CUT to YOU | Beach Days 🏝️

Image
"CUT TO YOU | BEACH DAYS | MEL FIELD" Hey there everyone! Well, do I have some super inspiration for you today, all thanks to a whoopsie whilst cutting my cut file! For some reason, no idea why, my Silhouette chose to not cut this cut file correctly the first time. I was so disappointed but as it turns out…. all’s well that ends well. For this project, I have used the really cool title cut file from CUT to YOU called  “Beach Days”   It is the perfect cut file for those beach layouts but also those layouts that you have limited embellishments to use. I have used an old Kaisercraft collection, Sandy Toes, from my stash for this layout, I have limited supplies of it left but with this cut file, it really didn’t matter. I have backed the cut file simply with some of the patterned papers from the collection. I have used three photos on the front of this layout, which I have also backed with the patterned papers and made two of them into a flip-out to include two more photos. ...

CUT to YOU | Airport Background | Let's Go | Mel Field

Hey there CUT to YOU friends! Today I am very excited to share with you my first project for the month of August and the first to document my son’s exciting Switzerland trip! I just love how it came together in the end but it did take a bit of paper shuffling and embellishment auditioning to get to the end result. Does this happen to you? There are soooo many travel cut file options in the   CUT to YOU store …I truly didn’t know where to start. Have you checked them out? Trust me, if you are a traveller…you need to check them out. They are the best and make putting a different spin on your travel photos so easy. The cut file I finally decided to use for this layout is the   Airport Background  cut file. Once I decided, I knew that I wanted it to be one of the main features of my layout. It took me quite a while to decide what I was going to do with the cut file after cutting it on my Silhouette. I loved the simplicity of just cutting it in white and I contemplated ...

CUT to YOU | Sew Loved Too & Love Hearts by Caitlin Background | 25 Years of Mr & Mrs | Mel Field

Hey there creative friends! I made it a task of mine to finish scrapbooking our wedding album before our 25th Anniversary...whilst I have made some great progress, I haven't finished and it is our anniversary tomorrow 😬  Well, I guess it means I just get to reminisce for longer! Today, I am sharing a layout and the process I have taken to complete it combining two beautiful  cut files from CUT to YOU. This layout celebrates our 25th Wedding Anniversary 💕💕 I am so thankful, grateful and blessed to have married Jason 25 years ago and look forward to  the next 25 years 💕💕 In one of my recent posts for CUT to YOU, I said that I would use another part of the  Sew Loved Too cut file. When you cut the files there are several parts that you may use together or do as I have and separate them over several layouts. This time I have used the thin heart outline from the cut file. I have coloured it with Distress Oxide …I just love this colour and it suited the go...

Sketches in Thyme

Image
After a little break from Sketches in Thyme after a very busy term at work.. today sees the April sketch released over at the Sketches in Thyme blog. Here is the sketch... I have used a gorgeous photo of my niece, Aimee. She was a little younger than she is now. Here is my take on the sketch... For this layout I have used the Kaisercraft - Fine and Sunny collection. The background is the Chirp page. I have used a bird and birdhouse from another page and some foam tape to create some dimension around the tree. I have used some parts of other pages to create the cute little embellishments, some tags and a kite.  I have used the alpha stickers from the collection to create the title. In the top right hand corner I have used some washi tape in similar colours to the rainbow. To check out what the other team members have created, head over to the Sketches in Thyme blog . I did complete the sketch for March however, I failed to post it online prior ...
