Sketches in Thyme

After a little break from Sketches in Thyme after a very busy term at work.. today sees the April sketch released over at the Sketches in Thyme blog.

Here is the sketch...

I have used a gorgeous photo of my niece, Aimee. She was a little younger than she is now.

Here is my take on the sketch...

For this layout I have used the Kaisercraft - Fine and Sunny collection. The background is the Chirp page. I have used a bird and birdhouse from another page and some foam tape to create some dimension around the tree.
I have used some parts of other pages to create the cute little embellishments, some tags and a kite.
I have used the alpha stickers from the collection to create the title.
In the top right hand corner I have used some washi tape in similar colours to the rainbow.

To check out what the other team members have created, head over to the Sketches in Thyme blog.

I did complete the sketch for March however, I failed to post it online prior to the release date.

Here is the sketch...

So here is my take on this sketch....

For this layout I have used the Kaisercraft Hidden Treasures collection.

Make sure you also head over to the Sketches in Thyme blog to see what the team came up with in March.

Scrapbookit Post

It has been a huge few months, hence the lack of blog love here.
From the start of the school year to a huge term of Cubs and Scouts commitments.  Some scrapbooking, a retreat and lots of running around. It is finally holidays  and nearly Easter.
Yesterday my first April post for Scrapbookit went up on the blog. I have had heaps of fun using the collection Jo sent me so pop over to Scrapbookit to check it out.
Head over to scrapbookitblog.blogspot.com
Here is a sneak peek...

Hopefully the posting may increase whilst on holidays.
